Our ‘Game of the Week’ brings us to a match up both teams had marked on their calendar. The third ranked Bathgate Educational Complex (6-0) meets sixth ranked Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy (5-1), 4 pm Friday April 27^th at Seton Park Field located at 232^nd Street in Independence Avenue. This is a key game for both teams as each looks to establish themselves as a Bronx ‘AA’ division powerhouse. East meets West should be a tagline as the Riverdale/Kingsbridge Tigers look to stay atop the ‘AA’ WEST division and the Bathgate Bulldogs fight to conquer the ‘AA’ East. Bathgate head coach Steve Lomuscio said “We want to compete at a high level and we know Riverdale is a smart team and their tough to beat” he continued, “It always comes down to defense and good pitches but we’re really hungry and have some solid players.” He does have a solid third baseman in Sterling Rodriguez who is having a breakout year as a senior. On the other side, Riverdale/Kingsbridge is loaded with playmakers like junior Ulysses Luciano and pitcher Richard Gonzalez, a 3-0 sophomore with a low ERA. We’re expecting fireworks this Friday as these two ranked teams battle for Bronx bragging rights and a chance to make a statement in 2018. The winner may have a chance to move up in our Bronx varsity baseball rankings. Clear your calendar, grab your popcorn and bring the whole family out to this high school baseball game.

'EAZ' ... The Grand River Hustler

MIKE TYSON in "UNDISPUTED TRUTH"

Re-inventing Mike Tyson will never work. The genius behind ‘Undisputed Truth’ lies in its uncut format, exploring all that intrigues us about Tyson. Starring on Broadway, for $75 bucks, former Heavyweight Champion Mike Tyson takes on his hardest opponent. Himself. This one man show was a brainchild of his current wife Lakiha Tyson, after seeing Chazz Palminteri’s show ‘A Bronx Tale’ in Las Vegas. Writing a script, casting Mike Tyson and playing at the MGM Grand Hotel in April, gave ‘Undisputed’ legs to run on Broadway. Lakiha says “ Mike was an easy sell, he really dove into his character.” Picking up Academy award nominated director Spike Lee didn’t hurt either. Spike Lee says “It’s a great American story; we had to bring it to Broadway.” So here onstage, audiences prepare for Mike Tyson in rare form. No knockouts or split decisions. WEEKLY COLUMN By Deigo Mack “True hope is swift, and flies with swallow's wings.” ― William Shakespeare Last week in Oklahoma City, during an OKC Thunder NBA game, play-by-play announcer Brian Davis, said during a broadcast that OKC’s star player Russell Westbrook was "out of his cotton-picking mind" after he made his ninth assist halfway through the second quarter of the team's final regular-season game. This slip of the tongue brought about a one game suspension for OKC’s experienced announcer Brian Davis. What a shame? The offensive statement set off a chain of reactions. First, Davis apologized publicly for his insensitive phrase. In a statement to ESPN, Davis apologized for using the phrase, which drew criticism for its racial undertones. "It is with great remorse and humility that I accept this suspension for the insensitive words I used during Wednesday's broadcast," Davis said. "While unintentiona
